NEW CASTLE HOTELS AND RESORTS ANNOUNCE
CHANGES AT NOVA SCOTIA SIGNATURE RESORTS
HALIFAX, NS – For immediate release; April 21, 2009
New Castle Hotels and Resorts’ are excited to announce recent hires and promotions.
Angela Steeves, General Manager of Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa is pleased to introduce Brett LeBlanc as Operations Manager, and Evan Smith as Executive Chef.
Brett LeBlanc was born and raised in Florence, Cape Breton and holds a Bachelor of Administration Degree from Cape Breton University. He began his hospitality career in 1985 at the Holiday Inn Sydney (Days Inn) and since then has worked for such chains as Radisson, Wandlyn and most recently was the General Manager at the Quality Inn Sydney. He also was Hospitality Instructor and Principal at the former Sydney Campus of CompuCollege. An active volunteer, Brett is an active community volunteer having held positions in the Royal Canadian Legion, Kiwanis, and Cape Breton Tradesmen Major Midget Hockey.
Evan Smith has his diploma in Hospitality Management from New Brunswick Community College in St. Andrew’s. He holds his Journeyman’s Red Seals in cooking and baking/pastry. Prior to coming to the Keltic Lodge, Evan held the positions of Executive Sous Chef at the Fairmont Algonquin, Executive Chef at the Riverside Golf and Country Club and most recently Executive Chef at the Rodd Miramichi Resort.
Rene LeBlanc, General Manager of The Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa, is pleased to welcome Annah Boucher as Operations Manager.
Annah hails from Annapolis Royal, and received her education at Holland College in PEI. Annah began her career at the Pines in 2001 as a front desk agent, then worked her way through the ranks to become Guest Service Manager. Annah enjoys all genres of music, meeting new people and enjoying old friends.
Teri Green joins the Signature Resorts Halifax office in the position of Sales Manager. Her background as Conference Service Manager at many of North Americas’ finest resorts and hotels positions Teri perfectly to enhance the sales process of the resorts, in combination with our existing Sales Manager.
