The Month of June at Keltic Lodge
Tuesday, June 26th, 2012
June is almost over and it has been a blur; this month has been a wild ride and I have loved every minute of it.
I have always found that nothing is really like working in a seasonal hotel. So much preparation goes into the hiring, training, planning and opening. When you watch it all come together, all you can feel is pride.
This season at the Keltic Lodge is certainly one of my career favourites. The staff are truly amazing, passionate and full of personality. With each person, you see a smile and I love watching them connect with our guests.
Life at the Keltic Lodge has already changed me. This property is everything that Alexander Graham Bell said it was to the Corson Family. The highlands air is there putic, the craching waves and smell of the mist off the lush forests make you feel invigorated.
Once again, I have guests in my life and I am happy again; each visitor of this property offers me stories of why the Keltic Lodge is such a special place to them. What makes me the most pleased is the overwhelming support with our upgrades, service enhancements, and most of all, food.
Today, I have attached a picture given to me by a new friend. This picture must be from the 1950′s of a man painting on the lawns of the Keltic Lodge.
The history of Keltic Lodge is a story and I hope our 2012 season means as much to my team and my visitors as it did when this picture was taken. Hotels, resorts and inns serve a purpose all over the world; yet very few become memories that last a lifetime.
I encourage Nova Scotians to discover the Keltic Lodge again this year as I think the property defines many of the tourism roots this province was founded by.
We welcome you!
Until Next Time,
Matthew Mackenzie
