Check out the New Digs at the Ketlic Lodge: Àrdan Rùm Restaurant
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010
Our former Atlantic Restaurant is now the Àrdan Rùm Restauarnt which serves a more casual fare. Our Purple Thistle Dining room is now operating for breakfast only. Àrdan Rùm is Gaelic for ‘Room on a High Hill.’ Our new Executive Chef, Jacqui Grobler, has reinvented a brand new menu this year. The menu looks and tastes incredible. With dishes like the Keltic Lodge Baked Artichoke Platter, Portuguese Seafood Fritto Misto, Scallywag Pan Seared Chicken Breast, and Walk the Plank Steak Sandwich, it’s sure to please you! It’s the best in nova scotia cuisine.
Our most popular dish this year is the Eastern Seaboard Pan Seared Halibut and Shrimp. It’s dressed in capers, with double smoked bacon and a sundried tomato butter sauce. It’s delicious. We’ve got a weekend buffet for you as well. Saturday is our Seafood Bounty Buffet and Sunday is Hip of Beef Carvery.
You’ll notice on the menu that we like to use local foods in our dishes. We use seafood, corn, and potatoes native to Nova Scotia. You should come and check out the new digs soon. The restaurant, like the rest of the property, overlooks the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean and Cabot Trail.
Happy Dining!
